The client had already obtained planning approval on this site for 10 apartments prior to our involvement.

The client came to us after discovering that his previous designer had ignored an existing pressurised main foul sewer which ran through the site, in spite of having been made aware of its presence. This sewer could not be diverted and its location was such that it was not possible to construct two of the originally proposed apartments.

Therefore the approved scheme was no longer financially feasible. We were able to redesign the project, adjust the proposed levels, provide a civil engineering solution to satisfy the Water Service’s strict requirements to protect the sewer and obtain planning approval for a revised project for 10 luxury apartments.

We followed up by obtaining building control approval and project managed this scheme through to completion.
